More Than Just a Drama Camp...

This summer, come and join our team of drama industry professionals and learn to sing/dance/act, as well as build confidence and make new friends!

The stage is all set at The Bacon Theatre so now is our time to get ready to shine!

The camp begins Monday 29th July with drop off between 8:30am - 9am. There will be light breakfast options available between these times, as well as squash and biscuits during breaks. The children are expected to bring their own lunch and water bottles can be filled from the water stations around the venue. Pick-up times are 5pm - 5:30pm.
 
The course workshops will be run by professional drama tutors who will help and guide your child towards a Saturday show, 'Revolting Tales & Extraordinary Children', on the Bacon Theatre stage. Each family is allocated 2 tickets and additional tickets will be available to purchase closer to the performance date.
 
Workshops will include dancing, singing, script work, t-shirt & prop decorating/creation, voice work and drama games.
 
Payment plans are available, as well as a 10% sibling discount and Dean Close staff discount.

Camp Lead - Sarah Wiegand

After completing her English and drama degree at Queen Mary’s University of London, Sarah took the 3 year acting course at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating in 2000.

After graduating, Sarah went on to work as a professional actress for 13 years, including a number of Theatre credits including: 

  • Clybourne Park’- Wyndham’s Theatre in the West End
  • An Ideal Husband’ and ‘Blithe Spirit’ at The English Theatre of Frankfurt
  • The Perfect Wedding’ -English Theatre of Vienna’; Volpone- ‘Manchester Royal Exchange. 

In addition to theatre, Sarah took a one-woman musical comedy to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2006, as well as having a number of music theatre credits that include The Fairy Queen in Peter Pan in Hong Kong & Taiwan. 

Sarah's work also includes a number of commercials for brands such as Vodafone, Calpol, Bacardi & Virgin Flights. 

Sarah has taught drama workshops in London for The London Workshop Company and performed as a number of childhood favourites for both private and commercial events, as well as setting up her her own children's event company.

Since having children, Sarah has turned to teaching and has been a Speech and Drama Teacher at Dean Close senior school for seven years.

Sarah brings years of drama experience to help your child build confidence, learn new skills and most importantly, she will make sure everyone has lots of fun!!
